Challenge

Fiske (now Univar) is one of the largest suppliers of food ingredients in the world. They asked me to provide a concept only solution for a trade show stand that could visually demonstrate the full range of products available through the company. Working from our designs their in-house events team would then adapt and build the individual stands for the many trade shows they attend each year. 

 

Fiske wanted an innovative and creative approach to the overall stand design and interactivity. The stand needed to show the company was a global organisation and allow visitors to sample the quality of their products. It also needed to incorporate both informal 'meet & greet' and private sales areas for on-stand contract negotiations.

Solution

  • To reflect the global nature of their business, we incorporated a clear 'viewing window' into the bar floor area, with a back-lit satellite image of the Earth.

  • The map showed the locations of all the Fiske offices as viewed from space!

  • Storage and private meeting rooms were built-in behind the product walls, with the informal areas split across two levels.

  • Back-lit product sample bowls and liquid containers were featured around the walls to allow clients to sample a selection of products through smell, touch and taste, and to entice prospective buyers onto the stand.
